Outer Bonds: Godborn - Prototype

Outer Bonds: Godborn is a student project of mine and by far the most polished and thought out game i ever created. Further development isn't planned but could happen.

In this fast paced, combat focused, action rpg, the player can fight against different abstract-energy creatures (enemies) with different weapons.

Each weapon comes with its own normal attack combo and abilities, there are currently two weapons in the game, the Short Sword and the Katana.
The player can switch between unlocked weapons at any point during the gameplay, for a fast and diverse combat experience!

There are also special techniques the player can equip, upgrade and use independent of what weapon is used. These range from rifts in space, the player can teleport through, to increasing attack power and speed for a certain duration. Pick a special technique that supports your fighting style or the challenge ahead to experience optimal combat!

Inside the skill tree the player can buy new weapons, unlock and upgrade special techniques and stat upgrades to tune the gameplay to their liking!

There are currently 3 modes to choose from when playing the game:
1. Endless Arena
In this mode you can fight against an endless army of enemies with your current weapons, abilities and upgrades. Optimal for gaining currency and testing your limits!
2. Boss Level
In this level you can fight the first and currently only Boss the game has to offer on a different map. This level also acts as a prototype for story levels, with a short visual-novel-style conversation at the beginning!
3. Training Grounds
Choosing this mode allows you to experiment and learn. You can fight every enemy one-on-one to learn about all the mechanics and attacks they have. You are also able to create the perfect build for your play style with full access to every part of the skill tree without the need for currency!
